Welcome to Perth u3a, Scotland

Perth u3a is an organisation for adults in and around Perth who are retired or semi-retired. We're people who want to develop our various interests in an informal and sociable environment, with most of our activities taking place during the day, Monday to Friday. We have over 500 members and we're one of over 1000 u3as throughout the UK. We learn from each other, drawing on the knowledge and experience of our membership. We do this through a wide range of interest groups, all of which are led by regular u3a members who’ve volunteered to run a group. We don’t have any paid administrators or instructors; rather, all of our members are encouraged to volunteer to help run the organisation and contribute to our activities.

Perth u3a has a programme of monthly open meetings and social events. We also have about 75 different interest groups which meet regularly in members' homes or venues around Perth. We have groups for:

• interests such as languages, geology and history
• creative pursuits such as art and photography
• physical activities such as walking and Tai Chi.
