Armchair theatre is not a drama group. We read the plays aloud together and engage with characterisation, accents and lots of expression! The aim is to appreciate themes and characters and have time to discuss and share our views on the play. Plays are chosen both by what’s on in the theatre in Scotland and by suggestions from the group.
In 2025-26, we read The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams, Arcadia by Tom Stoppard, and The Philanthropists by Christopher Hampton
