Canasta is a Rummy type card game played with a partner against another pair in groups of four or six and is very enjoyable.

Quite often people who play bridge also enjoy canasta. It is an easier game to learn and if you find bridge rather taxing it might be for you. If you have not played before we can teach you, it will not take you very long to learn.

The group meets in the group leader's bungalow in Luncarty, which is just north of Perth and is on the bus route from Perth. We play for about 2½ hours with a tea break halfway through and are a very friendly group. The group has been running for three years now and consists of around 12 members.
