The benefits of Tai Chi are well known to be the improvement of flexibility, mobility and balance; key issues for the age groups covered by the U3A. The sessions incorporate a series of exercises or movements which are suitable for all ages and degree of fitness. The groups are fortunate to have a highly qualified instructor willing to share his extensive knowledge of the activity.
We have two recognised groups, one meeting on Week 1 and the second meeting on Week 3. However, members are also able to meet on a weekly basis, Weeks 1 and 3 are funded by the U3A, the other weeks are funded directly by the members. There are also taster sessions for those potential new members, still not sure. Currently we don't operate a waiting list - all are welcome!
Our meetings take place at the North Inch Bowling Club, which has proved to be very suitable, being light and airy with ample parking. We are keen to promote a social side to our meetings with the opportunity to chat in the mid-session break and for those that wish, for coffee after the sessions.
We are always happy to see new members, so if you would like to give us a try, get in touch with the Group Leader.
