Who can join?
Anyone who isn't in full time employment or is retired can join. All you need is interest and enthusiasm to join in, and a willingness to contribute. We are members, not students and we have no teachers - we learn from each other.
What is the cost?
Membership of Perth u3a costs £28.00 for a full year per member (for 2025-26) and includes membership of as many interest groups as you'd like to join*. You must be a paid-up member of Perth u3a before you can join any interest group.
Most interest groups meet from early September to the end of April, with a summer break from May to August. Some groups, such as the walking groups and other summer activity-based groups continue to meet over the summer months. We offer a reduced joining fee of £10 for Summer Membership if you join in April, May, or June. In July, you would be invited to renew your membership, at which point you would pay £28 for a full year's membership.
All members, irrespective of when they first joined, are invited to renew their membership early in July.
*A very small number of groups charge a little extra, usually to cover the cost of venue hire for additional meetings.
