We enjoy watching films from a variety of eras and genres and discuss them over a cup of tea. We are particularly interested in how the style and content of this art form has developed over the years. We try to access the type of non-mainstream world films that local cinemas often can’t or don’t show. We also revive old and favourite films of years gone by, sometimes drawing on members' own collections.

The group had a very successful session in 2024-25. There were 8 film showings, 5 English and 3 foreign language films. The aim of the group is to access the type of non-mainstream world films that local cinemas often can’t or don’t show. We also revive old and favourite films of years gone by which group members enjoy.

Next season’s programme has been produced along with details of each film, which can be used for a short discussion following the viewing. This provides feedback information from members for future film programmes.
