We meet as a house group to read and study poetry together, starting our meetings with coffee. Each session we choose a selection of poets - most meetings we concentrate on one of these. Our usual pattern is to have past and present poets, Scots and English, female and male, and overseas poets including poetry in translation. We also decide topics which are the basis of free choices by members. In the last half hour we have Poetry Please where each member reads an old favourite or a new poem which has caught the imagination.
